Duties and Responsibilities


The primary duty and responsibility of the Purchasing Department is to coordinate the efficient procurement of goods and services for the various municipal departments, in accordance with
prescribed laws, rules, regulations, standards, policies and procedures.


The Governing Body of the Borough of Hopatcong authorizes the payment of municipal
obligations at its regular business meetings generally held on the first and third Wednesdays
of each month.
