RULES
Equal Playing Time: Revised 7/06/2002
- Each player will play a reasonably equal amount of time according
to the following:
- If 10, 11 or 12 players are available, the most periods a single player
may play is 4 (16 minutes).
- If 8 or 9 players are available, the most periods a single player
may play is 5 (20 minutes).
- If 7 players are available, the most periods a single player may
play is 6 (24 minutes).
- If 6 players are available, the most periods a single player may
play is 7 (28 minutes).
Length of Game:
- Each
game is divided into eight, 4-minute periods.
- 15
seconds separates each period.
- Half-time
is 4 minutes.
- The
clock "runs" except for shooting fouls and "official"
time-outs, e.g. shoelaces, injuries, court maintenance, etc.
Zone vs. Man to Man Defense:
- Periods
1, 2, 5, 6, 7 and 8 are mandatory Man to Man.
- Periods
3 and 4 are "coaches choice". Zones are permitted during this
time only.
Full Court Press Is Permitted:
- During
the last 2 minutes of the 1st half and the last 4 minutes of
the game. AND (ALSO)
- When
a team is behind or when a team is ahead by fewer than 10 points.
Foul Penalty:
- Shoot
"1 and 1" on 8th and 9th fouls per half.
Shoot 2 on 10th foul per half.
Time-outs:
- Five total
time outs: 3 full (60 second) and
- 2 partial
(20 seconds) per game.
Overtime:
- A
maximum of two, 2 minute overtime periods will be played.
- Teams
are granted 1 additional time-out in overtime.

Requested:
- Police
the area after your game. Remove water bottles. Rescue lost clothing.
- Coaches
of last game please help restore the gym.
