Hopatcong Helping Hands Guidelines Attached is an application for the "Hopatcong Helping Hands program. This program stresses the importance of a child knowing that he/she has a "safe house" to go to when there is an emergency. For example, when a stranger is bothering them or if they feel that they are in any danger and are not close to their own home.
Application is to be completed in full by Applicant and sent for review to Hopatcong Helping Hands at 141 Madison Trail, Hopatcong N. J. 07843 All applications will be screened through SBI (State Bureau of Identification) and are subject to review and approval of the Chief of Police from the /PoliceDept/hbpdsite/hbpdpage1. Applicant must consent to being fingerprinted. Upon approval of Application, Applicant understands the following: 1) The Helping Hands Program is to be used for EMERGENCIES ONLY. 2) Any and all contact with a distressed child or children will be reported IMMEDIATELY to police. 3) For all concerned, children should be kept in adult company OUTSIDE the "Safe House" whenever possible until police assistance arrives. 4) Any resident of the "Safe House" should try to contact the child or children's parents as soon as appropriate. |
