The Borough of Hopatcong takes pride in ensuring the roads are safe for all residents. Whether it be for cars, trucks, or bicycles. Here is all the information residents need to learn about how Hopatcong protects and ensures road safety.

Borough Snow Operations will mobilize as soon as a snow event begins and will continue until roads are cleared.

“NO” parking is allowed on roadways (on either side of the street) when they are snow covered.

Please do not blow or shovel snow into the roadway.

Sidewalks are to be cleared by property owners or occupants within 24 hours of a snowstorm.

Thanks for taking an interest in the investment taking place in your municipality in an effort to improve the road network.

To help improve the conditions of our streets, we are partnering with StreetScan, a Massachusetts-based company that has assessed streets in over 100 communities in North America.

StreetScan employs vehicle-mounted sensing technology to assess road conditions in normal traffic flow. The system utilizes its technology to determine the health of each street and to identify road defects including potholes, bumps, and cracking. This data helps the municipality to identify and prioritize repair needs.

Starting May 11, 2023 you may be seeing this vehicle driving around town.
